Belo Horizonte, Brumadinho, Diamantina, Ouro Preto, Mariana , Sabará, Congonhas, João del Rey and Tiradentes, these are the nine cities of Minas Gerais that will be covered by Investe Turismo actions. These cities are among the 30 most strategic in Brazil. In Minas Gerais, R $ 2.6 million will be invested in accelerating the development of these destinations, aiming at generating jobs and increasing the quality and competitiveness of these routes.
Among the actions planned by the Belo Horizonte are strengthening governance, marketing and marketing support through campaigns, attracting investments, supporting access to credit lines and financing sources and promoting services and tourist attractions.
In all, 30 routes will benefit in the North and South of the country, totaling R $ 200 million of investments in 157 municipalities.
According to Tourism Minister Marcelo Álvaro Antônio, “Our goal of the program is to reach 2022 with 100 million Brazilians traveling through Brazil . ” He also says that “BNDES will make available line for entrepreneurs to develop this project, generating jobs and income . ”
“Our strategy is to increasingly stimulate domestic tourism, which is as important as attracting foreign tourists, so that we can generate employment and income in these tourist destinations,” explains the minister.
The Superintendent of Sebrae Minas, Afonso Maria Rocha, justifies that “The proposal is to support regional initiatives for tourism development and prepare the small mining businesses served by the project, making them increasingly competitive . ”
The creation of a portfolio, which will present opportunities for new ventures on the 30 routes selected by the program, and a marketing campaign that will be unique to each route, are also planned. In addition, destinations will be advertised at trade shows, events and other business events, where tour operators and potential investors may be aware of the routes.
“In Minas Gerais, the program will have a special targeting for micro and small companies, especially in qualification and training actions and marketing strategies,” explains Rocha.
